The Archaeological Resources Fund of Greece has released a collection of fabric face masks with prints, designs and photographs inspired by the rich cultural heritage of the country.
Available in archeological sites and museums across the country, face masks are of high quality and aesthetics.
"The Covid-19 pandemic has brought protective masks into our daily lives. No one can say for sure how much longer we will need to wear them. "But they do not need to have a clinical picture," the Ministry of Culture said in a statement.
Among the many designs of the masks are the zoological offerings of the 8th-7th century BC, exhibited at the Archaeological Museum of Olympia, the disk of Phaistos and the Minoan pendant with the bees available at the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, marble Cycladic figurines, an old Byzantine mosaic floor with ducks on display at the Archaeological Museum of Delphi.
The price of each mask is 5 euros, while "from the first days when the masks began to be available in museum shops, they are one of the best-selling items," the ministry said.
