Summer in Greece means endless hours on the beach, swimming and dives in the pool or in the deep blue Greek seas.
But apart from the relaxation that the contact with the water offers us, we must always keep in mind that the sea hides dangers, which if we are not careful will bring us in front of difficult situations.

Tips for safe swimming
Do not swim alone.
Never enter the water after a meal.
Do not dive into unknown waters.
Do not move away from the shore if you do not know good swimming.
Do not swim outside demarcated areas.
Do not dive with otitis or eardrum rupture.
Do not dive into the water if your body temperature is too high.
If you feel shivering, get out as soon as possible.
Do not swim in bad weather.
Do not swim after drinking alcohol.
Check your health regularly.
If you get tired or get cramps stay horizontal in the water for a few minutes and as soon as you regain your strength move slowly outwards!
If you are swept away by a current, do not try to swim against it. Instead, move diagonally while protecting your nose and mouth!
If you are taking medication, consult your doctor.
If you have health problems, do not swim without the presence of a lifeguard.
On the beaches where you meet a lifeguard always follow his instructions!
